Paris got (finally) Newton!
And not the minimal version, as more than 200 pictures signed by Helmut Newton, one of the major fashion photographers known for his highly erotic vision of women (and fashion), will be held between 24 March – 17 June at Grand Palais, in Paris.
It is the very first retrospective dedicated to the artist (who left us in 2004) as well as the very first big retrospective of the photographer to be held in Paris. All pictures were carefully choosen in collaboration with his wife, June Newton, so we have the privilege of an “family organized” event with a personal touch.
No more need to say that it is one of those events you simply can’t ignore, doesn’t matter if you’re a fashion geek or a simple admirer of beauty. Who knows when we’ll have the privilege and chance to see another Newton exhibition at this level.
I guess it was emotionally a difficult thing to do for Mrs. Newton, therefore I wish to thank her for this amazing gift.
