Design selection at Printemps

The famous parisian store Printemps has amazing windows. An exercise of style and creativity I always appreciate and look forward. This time I was nicely surprised and smiled at Martin Margiela’s personal version of Emanuelle’s famous wicker chair and really liked Tom Dixon’s bulb chandelier – a selection of objects signed Stéphane Parmentier for Printemps. Hope you’ll like it as well!

Making of “Ethnic Revival”

Last week-end I had an appointement with some magic people to share inner thoughts and visions in a new creative direction. And convey it with their help in a special photo session and an enchanted moment. Here is a glimpse of the backstage. As I could see it, from the designer’s point of view, in between pieces of cloth, jewelry, make-up and hair clips – snatched with my iPhone. Following shortly the pictures by Dan Piersinaru. Make-up artist: Mirela Niculai…

Paris got (finally) Newton! And not the minimal version, as more than 200 pictures signed by Helmut Newton, one of the major fashion photographers known for his highly erotic vision of women (and fashion), will be held between 24 March – 17 June at Grand Palais, in Paris. It is the very first retrospective dedicated to the artist (who left us in 2004) as well as the very first big retrospective of the photographer to be held in Paris. All…

Carmen Secareanu — I never did what I wanted to do

The first thing I noticed was her smile: a little playful, a little amused. I thought immediatly that I would love to interview her and take her out of that comfort zone. Through a contre-temps, I ended up in her apartment, a totally white space with two touches of black and magnolia – two cats which ensure movement as an extension of her playful thoughts. I am in her comfort zone – that was not my original idea, but it is how it happened….

Adele — rolling for Vogue

Adele is back. New figure, new shape, but same stunning voice. Must admit, hearing her songs played everywhere, from cabs in London to each and every corner in France, Spain or Bucharest, even if you adore her at one point it’s a bit too much. As a song use to say “even the good can be a curse”. But Adele’s performance last night at Grammy made me fight for this love. In the day when most people were quite shocked…
